RW Schambach: Employer’s Last Call

I recorded a televised message about 33 years ago and the Lord laid it on my heart to upload it to the websites today. It is a critical six-minute message for someone, or perhaps many; but just like the devil, You Tube censored my account and I am unable to upload the video at this time.

The devil is defeated anyway, because I have another option. I am going to type out the message below, word-for-word, instead of loading the video. It is just as effective to read this true story, as to hear it, possibly moreso. Receive it in the name of the Lord:

(Robert) RW Schambach, a minister of the gospel, was working for a particular company and one day his boss wasn’t able to find a boilermaker, so he called RW into his office and asked him to do the job.

RW was surprised, telling his boss,

“You’ve got 300 boilermakers in this plant, get one of them.”

Boss: “I’ve tried; I can’t get one.”

RW: “How are you going to get by that with the union?”

Boss: “I’ll raise your card to that of a boilermaker and pay you double time.”

RW: “I’ll stay, sir. Oh yea, I’ll stay.”

RW said the boss raised his pay and he went to work for about three hours, when somebody stuck their head in there and hollered, “Hay, Preach, the boss wants ya!”

RW said he cleaned up, came out, and walked into his boss’s office.

Boss: “Sit down, Preacher.”

RW: “If you don’t mind, I’ll stand. I have a lot of work to do yet.”

Boss: “Help yourself. I want to ask you a question. Does God know everything?”

RW: “What?”

Boss: “Will you just answer the question?”

RW said his boss startled him. He said he thought his boss was going to ask him a job-related question. He was paying him double time, elevated his rate, and then he asked him the question, “Does God know everything?”

RW: “Of course, He does.”

Boss: “Does He know whether or not I’m going to get saved (receive salvation from Jesus)?”

RW: “Oh, I think I will sit down, now we are getting to it.”

Boss: “Will you answer the question?”

RW: “Oh, not yet. Don’t you see? You couldn’t find a boilermaker to stay and do this job. The only one you could find was the preacher. Before I answer your question, God is giving you your last chance; don’t blow it. You’ll never have another chance after this day.”

RW said he felt the anointing of God all over him, as he talked to his boss that day; and as he relayed this message on television, he said,

“I’m talking to you that are watching by television. You have played with God so long. His Spirit will not always strive with man. He lets you play with Him for a while, but don’t you cross that deadline and commit spiritual suicide. I’ve seen too much of this. This man was my employer.”

RW: “Yes, sir. God knows whether or not you are going to get saved.”

Boss: “That’s all I want to know. Go back to work. If He knows, then I’m going to leave it in His hands.”

RW: “Hold it.”

Boss: “That’s all I want to hear; get back to work!”

RW: “This is my work and I ain’t goin nowhere!”

Boss: “I’ll fire you!”

RW: “I dare ya! God knows whether or not you’re going to be saved, but first, you must be brought to a decision, and you will either accept, or reject. There’s no in-between ground. You either accept Him, or reject Him. I’m going to bring you there now.”

Boss: “Get back to work!”

RW: “You just rejected God.”

Boss: “No, I didn’t!”

RW said he dealt with his boss for 30 minutes, weeping with him and praying for him. His boss told him, “I can’t do it; I can’t do it; I can’t do it!” RW told his boss that the Lord already did it (made the way for him to be saved) and the only thing he had to do is “come and receive it (salvation).”

Boss: “What will my friends at the country club say?”

RW said his boss made about $300,000 a year.

RW: “You’re going to let them send you to hell. The country club won’t do you any good after today, when you reject God.”

RW said he pleaded with his boss and begged him to come (and receive Jesus), but he rejected God.

Boss: “Go back to work.”

RW Schambach said he knew he lost that soul.

He said went back and finished the job and went home. He got up the next morning and went in to work at 7 am. He was greeted by a lot of the men. One said, “Hay, Preach, did you hear about the boss?”

RW: “He got saved?”

Employee: “No, man, after he left the plant last night, he had never been sick a day in his life, he put his hand on the door to get into his house, when a peculiar pain struck him, and he died on the spot. His wife heard the “thud” and she called the emergency squad. They tried to revive him, but they couldn’t get any sign of life.”

RW then quoted this scripture:

“He who is often reproved and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy” Proverbs 29:1.

There aren’t many preachers left in the world today like RW Schambach, who will allow God to anoint them and use them, regardless of the cost. Most people today only want to hear the “feel good” preachers.

God is longsuffering, not willing that anyone should perish (2 Peter 3:9). Is the Lord giving you your last call? Please don’t neglect this call to salvation, if you aren’t saved; tomorrow, or even tonight, could be too late!

If you aren’t saved, if you aren’t sure if you are ready to face God and give an answer to Him for the life you have lived on this earth, or the decision you made about His Son, our Savior, Jesus, please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.
