It’s not Shabbat, but I had to share this blessed song early (I will repeat it on Shabbat). The song is actually a repeat on God Gives Talent, albeit, I felt led of the Spirit to publish this beautiful song again today.
I had a very trying day and, I have to admit, I felt very stressed, but the Lord sent His angel to minister peace to me and I was tremendously blessed and overwhelmed with his presence and the peace he brought with him. The Spirit of the Lord then led me to this song and it too blessed me so much, I felt He would have me share it with you on Shabbat.
Someone needs to hear it now, so I am sharing it today. Be blessed –
Are the cares of this life overwhelming, at least some of the time? Allow God to pour His blessed peace into your soul right now through this music and the words to this anointed song (lyrics included below):
שבת שלום
(Shabbat Shalom = A Peaceful Sabbath)
I Heard the Voice – Edwin Hawkins and Northern California State Youth Choir
I Heard the Voice
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and rest. Lay down My weary one lay down, thy head upon My breast.”
(Repeat)
I came to Jesus as I was weary and worn and sad. I found in Him a resting place and He has made me glad.
Chorus
“Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me, for My yoke is easy and My burdens are light, and My burdens are light.” (Repeat)
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give, the living water, thirsty one, stoop down and drink and live.
I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life giving stream. My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in Him.
I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s light. Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy days be bright.
I looked to Jesus and I found in Him my Star, my Sun, and in that Light of life I’ll walk till traveling days are done. (Repeat chorus)
Jesus is the only One who can give perfect peace in the midst of the storm:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon you, because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3
The actual Words of Jesus are:
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world gives…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27
Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.
Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.
“The Spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who hears say, Come; and let him that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” Revelation 22:17
