Meeting In the Air – Joshua Pope

The best young gospel piano player I have ever heard, Joshua Pope, plays Meeting In the Air – live.

Meeting In the Air

Verse 1

You have heard of little Moses in the bulrush,

You have heard of fearless David and his sling;

You have heard the story told of dreaming Joseph,

And of Jonah and the whale you often sing.

There are many, many others through the Bible,

I should like to meet them all, I do declare;

By and by the Lord will surely let us meet them

At that meeting in the air.

There is going to be a meeting in the air,

In the sweet, sweet by and by;

I am going to meet you, meet you over there,

In that home beyond the sky.

Such singing you will hear, never heard by mortal ear,

Twill be glorious, I do declare,

And God’s own Son will be the leading One

At that meeting in the air.

Verse 2

Many things will there be missing in that meeting,

For the mourner’s bench will have no place at all;

There will never be a sermon preached to sinners,

For the sinner had refused to heed the call.

There will be no mourning over wayward loves ones;

There will be no lonely nights of pleading prayer;

All our burdens and our anguish will be lifted

At that meeting in the air.

Verse 3

There the doubters will be missing altogether;

All the skeptics will be absent on that day;

There will be no grumblers present to disturb us,

And the Achans will be busy far away.

There the saints will have His seal upon their foreheads,

Dressed in raiment none but ransomed ones can wear;

All who have the wedding garments will be present

At that meeting in the air.

The Word of God confirms all of the testimonies included in this song is true:

The story of Moses: (Exodus 2)

David and Goliath: (1 Samuel 17)

Joseph’s Dreams: (Genesis 40-41)

Jonah and the Whale: (Jonah 1-2)

Meeting In the Air: (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Our heavenly home: (John 14:1-4; Revelation 21)

Saints Singing: (Revelation 15:2-4)

The Son of God will lead us: (Revelation 19:11-16)

There will be no tears in heaven: (Revelation 21:4)

There will be no sinners in heaven: (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Revelation 21:27)

Saints will be sealed on their foreheads: (Revelation 9:4; Revelation 7:3)

Saints will be dressed in wedding garments (fine linen): (Revelation 19:6-9; Revelation 19:14)

I have seen enough of the supernatural, profound miracles and even God’s creative power, that I can attest to you that every Word of God’s Holy Word is absolutely true, and heaven is very real.

I also feel impressed of the Lord to tell someone, or some folks, that if you have children who have left this world before you, they are with the Lord. Never doubt that. All children, every one of them, go to be with the Lord when they leave this world. They are happy there and waiting for you, their loved ones.

Parents and loved ones of those precious little ones, even those who were stillborn, or aborted, won’t you receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior, repent of your sins, and make absolutely certain you meet up with your babies, little ones and young ones alike?

They will never be disappointed, because if you don’t show up, their memory of you will be erased, because there is no grieving in heaven, not one tear. They wait for you now, but if you don’t receive the Lord and live for Him, you will be the only one with regrets throughout eternity – in hell fire (Revelation 20:12-15)!

Please don’t waste one moment of time, because we have no guarantee that we will live from this moment to the next. Many, many, many people have left this world unexpectedly, in an instant, unprepared, and they end up in hell – forever!

I have seen that place and you don’t ever want to end up there! If you have children in heaven, don’t miss the opportunity to be them forever, because all under the age of accountability for sin enter heaven. I have witnessed this too.

I was caught up to heaven and I saw the little daughter of a minister of the gospel there in a grand foyer. I wrote to this minister and his wife about seeing their little girl and it had a profound affect on them. One reason it affected them so greatly was because I know their only living children, but this little girl wasn’t either one of them! I knew of no other child they had in heaven, or earth. In fact, I told the Lord I didn’t want to tell them about this little girl because I knew both of their children and they are still among the living! God didn’t tell me why, but He told me to tell them, so with trepidation, I wrote them about their “daughter” in heaven. The mother wrote back and informed me that she miscarried a little girl! They appreciated my letter and she said her husband cried for a long time about my experience and my description of her, because he had seen her in a dream!

Heaven is real; God’s Word is true! Don’t miss out on heaven; and definitely miss out on hell!!

Salvation is offered to everyone who repents of sin and receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, unless a person crosses a line with God, to the point of becoming reprobate, having no conscience (Romans 1:21-32; Hebrews 6:4-6). Now is the time of salvation for everyone; tomorrow, or even the next hour, could be too late.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Who God Is

I have said on occasion that God is the epitome of love, but He is also the epitome of wrath, which throws some people into a tizzy, because they just don’t get that. I say this, because this is what God has revealed to me through His Word and I believe the definitions of His character are very apparent. I don’t argue with God, or His Holy Word, I just accept Him for who He is, because He is God – period. I had a friend tell me once that there is no hell and that God would never make such a place as hell, because He is a loving God. Of course, God is a loving God. A neighbor also told me once that hell is an allegory in the Bible and its description just means “separation from God.” The Word, however, tells us, “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it unto them; for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so they are without excuse” Romans 1:18-20. Jesus was very descriptive about hell. He didn’t say it was an allegory; in fact, He was so descriptive that there can be no mistake as to its existence. He said, “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, for it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:43-44. In fact, Jesus was so emphatic about this warning, He repeated Himself three times. He went on to warn, “And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall not be quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:45-46. And if that wasn’t enough, Jesus continued, “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out; it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:47-48. So, Jesus warned not once, not twice, but three times in Mark 9 to avoid this place called hell at ALL COSTS. Was Jesus just wasting His time here, blowing at the wind? No. He created hell and He knows how painful and horrible it is. It is the penalty to those who disregarded His suffering on the cross and His shed blood for the remission of our sins. Paul wrote to the Hebrews, “He that despised Moses’s law died without mercy under two or three witnesses; of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy who hath trodden under foot the Son of God and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherein he was sanctified, an unholy thing and hath done despite to the Spirit of grace…It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” Hebrews 10:28-29,31. Jesus further warned us, “I will forewarn you Whom ye shall fear; Fear Him, Who, after He has killed, has the power to cast into hell; yes, I say unto you, Fear Him” Luke 12:5. There are so many more passages, but I will end that topic with this passage written by King David, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do His Commandments. His praise endureth forever” Psalm 111:10. On the other spectrum of God’s divine nature, we see unconditional love: “God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8. Here, I have to say that if the entire world, billions of people, were at risk of going to hell for their sins, unless my only son died in their place, I have to admit that I would let all of them to go right into hell before I could allow my son to suffer what Jesus suffered for us on the cross. That may sound very selfish, but I just couldn’t do it. Nevertheless, God loved us so much, even while we were sinners, that He allowed Jesus to suffer the penalty for our sins on the cross, so we could receive the redemption He provided and gain eternal life, because Jesus paid the price. That is LOVE! Can I explain to myself, or anyone else, the dichotomy of God’s great love, versus His great wrath? No. God is God. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord” Isaiah 55:8.
