A great 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Solomon Islands on December 9, 2016, at 19:10:20 UTC, at a depth of 88 km, reported Geoscience Australia (not finalized).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a Tsunami Information Statement on December 9, 2016, at 1915 UTC; a Tsunami Threat Message was issued at 1944, 39 minutes later, for waves estimated at 3 to 9 feet!

This threat message was issued too late. Threat messages for this magnitude quake need to be issued earlier to save lives, but they aren’t!

Take PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY with this level magnitude quake; do not wait for authorities to issue a threat message – you could die waiting – and they obviously have an agenda!

A major 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit Solomon Islands on December 9, 2016, at 21:38:24.3 UTC, reported EMSC-CSEM (not finalized).

721 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places worldwide over the last 1,391 days. Among these were 85 7.0+ and 7 8.0+ magnitude quakes.
