Cyclone Hikaa is expected to cross Oman today, with hurricane force wind speeds at 110-120 km/h and gusts to 135 km/h, with a dangerous storm surge.

Six tropical storms formed at the same time in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific basins, which ties a record from September 1992, for the number of storms formed simultaneously. A major 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit the Mona Passage on September 24, 2019, at 03:23:36 UTC, reported LDEO.

1,181 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places worldwide over the last 2,392 days. Among these were 129 7.0+ and 14 8.0+ magnitude quakes. Agung Volcano Erupting

AGUNG VOLCANO ERUPTING

The alert level has been raised to maximum (4) for an imminent eruption of the Agung volcano in Indonesia.

Evacuations took place on Friday.

There are currently 157 active volcanoes, not counting undersea volcanoes we are unaware of (145 counted on September 20, 2016). Among the 157 that are at some level of warning, 39 volcanoes are erupting with the highest level of warning, according to the list and map of active volcanoes on VolcanoDiscovery.com.

Volcanoes erupting with the highest level of warning are located in Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Indonesia, Central America, South America, the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean, the Ring of Fire (Kurile Islands to the Philippines) and other regions belonging to the United Kingdom and the Antarctica. Most of the erupting volcanoes are located in the Ring of Fire.

North Korea Launches Another Missile Over Japan

NORTH KOREA LAUNCHES ANOTHER MISSILE OVER JAPAN

Things are heating up seriously over Kim Jong-un’s threats against the United States and Japan. He said he would “reduce the US to ashes and sink Japan into the sea.”

Verbal threats are one thing, but Japan suffered a hair-raising alarm when North Korea launched another missile over Japan Friday morning (Asia time). The missile flew over Japan’s northern island Hokkaido before landing in the Pacific.

The Useless United Nations Security Council met at 7 pm, as requested by the United States and Japan.

US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said he wasn’t ready to talk about a US military response. He did say the launch was “reckless.”

Wow, “reckless”…

Let’s hope everyone in the US, Japan and South Korea are geared up for a possible electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack by North Korea, or worse, because the little fat dude seems capable.

So far, it doesn’t appear that anyone is quite ready to put the dictator in his place, except to exact more sanctions against North Korea, which will likely starve millions more of the street orphans and poor. They are the last ones to receive any provision when there is lack, so sanctioning North Korea in any form simply means: “We are going to kill millions more of your orphans and the poor, who are already starving.”

Do you think “fatso” cares? Not a chance. An estimated 3 million North Koreans starved to death during the last five years, and the famine continues. (If you haven’t read yesterday’s report on North Korea’s street orphans, please do.)
