A VICTORY FOR ASIA BIBI

At approximately 1 pm Pakistan Time (UTC+5), on October 13, 2016, Aljazeera reported that one of the judges sitting on Asia Bibi’s death sentence appeal recused himself today, delaying the appeal, and a new court date has not been set.

Asia Bibi is a Pakistani Christian, wife and mother of five children, who was accused by her Muslim coworkers of committing blasphemy against their prophet, Muhammad. For these verbal accusations by her coworkers, Asia Bibi was charged and later sentenced to hang for blasphemy.

Asia Bibi has been languishing on death row for five years and 11 months, still clinging to her faith in Jesus Christ – in the face of death.
